With the goal of taking you from a place of imbalance to a place of strength, confidence, and health, I founded Focus Hypnosis to provide you with effective solutions in psychotherapy and hypnotherapy.
At Focus Hypnosis, I practice goal oriented therapy tailored to your personality and specific needs. I help you quickly and effectively move away from unhealthy patterns, negative thoughts and maladaptive behaviours, towards a positive, action-oriented future.
Using a unique approach, I meld my expertise in Adlerian therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy with hypnosis and EMDR to help you reach your goals.
During a nearly twenty-year career that has included working as a Clinical Supervisor, Clinician, Community Mental Health Counsellor, Crisis-specialist, and In-patient GeroPsych Therapist, I have found success tackling a broad spectrum of complicated issues for a large array of clients. I have two years of extensive experience using clinical hypnotherapy on a daily basis through my practise in a hypnosis clinic. These experiences have given me great insight into the amazing resilience of people suffering with mental illness or dealing with a crisis, addiction or a difficult life situation.
Additionally, my clinical background has allowed me to develop a strong aptitude for rapidly assessing key psychological indicators, a skill that directly contributes to my ability to help you achieve profound, lasting results.
In recent years I have found that while “talk-therapy” is effective, introducing hypnosis and EMDR into my practice has allowed my clients to reach their goals in far fewer sessions. I am continually inspired by the wide variety of situations that hypnosis can address, and am passionate about assisting people on their journey by providing them with the best therapeutic experience possible.
I earned my Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology, am certified in EMDR, and have trained in clinical hypnosis through the Canadian Society of Clinical Hypnosis. I feed my insatiable desire to continually improve my therapeutic skills through ongoing client-centered research and professional training.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others
